Hamburger History: A Conversation with Chef John Shields and Maggie Hennessy June 14, 2026
The Loyalist will host a meet-and-greet cocktail hour and conversation between Chicago’s lauded three-MICHELIN-starred Chef John Shields (Smyth and The Loyalist) and celebrated journalist and burger-enthusiast Maggie Hennessy. After her recent debut book release, The Burger Bible, Maggie and John will sit down and discuss the history of the friendly handheld and the rise of The Loyalist’s iconic Dirty Burg, turned OG. Passed canapés and burger bites will be provided along with a beer (standard or N/A) of your choice.
