El Juicio de Dorotea is an original Spanish-language musical set in the mid-1940s that tells the story of Dorotea, a woman who finds the courage to leave an abusive marriage and fight for her freedom in a society that expects her to remain silent. As her divorce case unfolds in a courtroom, memories, music, and powerful testimony reveal the emotional cost of domestic violence, the strength of sisterhood, and the resilience of the human spirit. Blending drama, humor, and original songs, El Juicio de Dorotea is a moving celebration of justice, hope, and the right to reclaim one’s own life.
