Head to Brookfield Zoo on July 29 for a special fun-filled day. In celebration of its summerlong Xtreme BUGS exhibit, the zoo will transform its East Mall into a bug-themed paradise, including a performance by the popular Beatles tribute band American English.
Free Activities
- Watch American English perform starting at 3 p.m.
- Check out the Volkswagen Beetle car show around Roosevelt fountain
- Help release 1,500 ladybugs at the flower bed
- Learn about butterflies, cockroaches, spiders and some bug predators in Zoo Chats
Fun for Extra
These activities require an additional fee:
- Learn about the importance of bees from Bob's Bees in Hamill Family Play Zoo
- Visit the Xtreme BUGS exhibit, featuring more than 20 animatronic bugs and about 150 nonmoving bugs
- See live bugs in Harry's Big Adventure: My Bug World!
- Participate in bug-cooking demonstrations and cockroach races
