Oktoberfest in Munich might be postponed until next year, but the beer-centric event is living on in Chicago’s bars and restaurants. Check out a few local spots to enjoy beer specials, big pretzels, and more with these Oktoberfest food and drink specials all around Chicago.

Park & Field: Park & Field is teaming up with Revolution Brewing for an authentic German-style Oktoberfest on Thursday, Oct. 1 with steins, sausage, and pretzel specials, plus prizes and giveaways galore. Make your reservations now for a spot on their spacious Logan Square patio.

The Publican: This West Loop staple will be hosting their annual authentic Bavarian celebration on Sunday, Sept. 27. Enjoy a three-course feast of German-inspired favorites including handmade sausage, spaetzle, schnitzel, and of course, pretzels.

The Dawson: Enjoy Oktoberfest specials like soft pretzels with all the fixings, apple strudel with spiced ice cream, local  Oktoberfest brews, and an apple cider cocktail. The specials run Saturday, Sept. 19 – Sunday, Oct. 4.

Huettenbar: It’s all about the beer at Huettenbar, where Old World charm and German hospitality will transport you straight to Munich. Grab a bar stool and sample your way through their Oktoberfest beers. Plus, they now offer growlers to go.

Funkenhausen: It’s Oktoberfest year round at this funky German spot in West Town. Order a stein of beer to go with your big garlicky pretzel, served with pimento cheese and a white BBQ sauce. Check out their happy hour specials Wednesday – Sunday from 5 – 6 p.m.

Prost!: This German beer hall in Lakeview recently expanded outside with a bustling beer garden on Lincoln Avenue. The extensive drink menu includes a wide range of authentic German brews. Enjoy their new special, which includes half a giant pretzel and a liter of beer for just $16.

Laschet’s Inn: This go-to for German-American fare has an Oktoberfest menu full of classics, including hot and cold sausage platters, potato pancakes, cheese spätzle, and black forest cake.

Beacon Tavern: Dig into pork schnitzel with spaetzle, pretzels with beer cheese, and Oktoberfest beer straight from Munich. The specials run Saturday, Sept. 19 – Sunday, Oct. 4.

Bub City: In River North, you can order steins of Goose Island Oktoberfest from now through Friday, Sept. 25. You can also enjoy specials like homemade beer bratwurst and jumbo pretzels inside or on their extended patio seating.

Sheffield’s: This ultra-popular beer garden in Lakeview has a full roster of Oktoberfest brews on tap, featuring local breweries like On Tour, Three Floyd’s, and Goose Island. Order a Revolution Oktoberfest brew and get a souvenir glass stein to bring home.

The Gage: Head to this Loop bar and restaurant to enjoy Oktoberfest food specials like jalapeno cheddar bratwurst, currywurst, and German beer offerings. The specials run Saturday, Sept. 19 – Sunday, Oct. 4.
