  • With Chicago as our muse, Longman & Eagle has fond admiration and appreciation for all things local. The ingredients we use are among the finest the city has to offer – quality regional foods that are dotingly farmed and sourced from the folks listed below. This push towards perfection extends to the artists, designers and photographers we work with as well, partnerships that are greatly appreciated and humbling. We are fortunate to have received quite a bit of positive press in our initial months and it pleases us that so many of you share our enthusiasm for drinking, eating and (soon) sleeping. We were recently named ‘Best New Restaurant’ in the Chicago Reader, one of the ‘Best Bars in America’ by Esquire Magazine and were also nominated for ‘Best Late Night Dining’ and ‘Best New Gastropub’ by Time Out Chicago. And we’re ever so proud of Chef Jared Wentworth’s ‘Golden Rasher’ award for ‘Best Tasting Bacon Dish Period’ at this year’s BaconFest. Esquire again recently sang our praises, naming us one of the ‘Best New Restaurants in America’ and we’re also a bit awestruck and humbled to have been awarded a coveted ‘star’ in the Chicago edition of The Michelin Guide.
