The Trashy Earth Market 2024

Wrap up Earth Month with our junky jamboree at Gallagher Way featuring artisans who transform reclaimed materials into one-of-a-kind goods and promote zero-waste activities. Shop for home goods, art, planters, fashion, body care, stuff you’ve never seen before and more. There is no better way to show love for our one-and-only planet than to gather together as a community! We have nowhere else to go, so let’s go nowhere together.

EVENT DETAILS: Hosted at and by Gallagher Way next to Wrigley Field on April 27th, 11am-4pm. If the weather insists on shutting us down (again!), our back up date is April 28th, 11am-4pm. This is a free, outdoor, all-ages event.

IMPORTANT: The back up rain date for this Market is Sunday, April 28th, 11am-4pm.

RSVP is encouraged but NOT REQUIRED. By registering here, we will be able to communicate with you about updates, changes, and potential cancellations/contingencies due to weather. You are agreeing to be added to our email newsletter, which you can opt-out at any time.

NEW! Welcome Reduce Waste Chicago for our first collab market! They’ll be hosting their usual Reuse & Recycling Pop-Up, where you can drop off unwanted items for reuse, redistribution, repurposing, reclamation and recycling. Check their “accepted items” list now to know what to bring and start saving for the big day.

NEW TOO! Join the frayed parade with our latest community-activated live art installation, LOOM360. Created by Katy Osborn, Nandi Duszynski, and Janara Banks. Made possible by Natural Investments. Bring one article of unwearable clothing or scrap textile to cut into ribbons. Attendees will weave rubbish ribbons into our 4-sided loom and create unique tapestries, large and small.

Check back soon for our list of eco- & socially-conscious Trash Smashers offering an array of of uniquely trashy, locally-crafted wares.

The Trashy Earth Market is part of a series of recurring Trashy Markets all throughout the year in various neighborhoods of Chicago as we love to shake things up and support rotating vendors and local businesses! To keep in touch, please follow us on our Eventbrite page and social media channels:
