Jazz vocalist Christy Bennett always presents very entertaining shows that take deep dives into her subject matter. In this show, she will be presenting a collection of tunes from the Great American Songbook, along with Alec Wilder’s critiques of those songs from his book, American Popular Song: The Great Innovators. From one of America’s most opinionated (and hilarious) curmudgeons comes an assortment of comments that will make you reexamine the lyrics and music to each song.
