Roseland Community Hospital Celebrates 100th Anniversary

Save the date! The Roseland Community Hospital on the Far South Side of Chicago at 45 W. 111th Street is officially celebrating its centenary by hosting its 100th Anniversary Roaring 20’s Casino Night Fundraiser on Saturday, April 13 at the Hilton Oak Lawn. Throughout the evening, patrons in attendance will show their support while enjoying delectable libations, a live raffle, a special presentation from the hospital’s CEO Tim Egan, and much more. Ticket prices begin at $200 for an Individual Contributor. Guests are invited to join in for an evening of fellowship and to help celebrate the hospital’s collective work in providing critical resources needed in an underserved community. 

Donations, sponsorships, and community investment opportunities are also available to purchase and include the Gambler Package ($200); Pair ($350); Ace ($1,000); Blackjack ($2,500); the Royal Flush ($5,000); Full House ($10,000) and the High Roller ($25,000). Donations of any kind are also very much welcome and appreciated for those unable to attend but who would like to show their support.  

This past year alone, the hospital launched several essential initiatives that addressed gaps in health services, increased the capacity of effective and sustainable programs, and fostered innovative solutions to healthcare disparity problems. One imperative initiative was a Mammography Program that debuted during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and came complete with a stationary unit and a mobile service to help women in the neighborhood with early detection of breast cancer and other diseases. The hospital continuously prioritizes the well-being of the Greater Roseland Community, having served over 2,000 residents in this past year alone through various fundraisers and donation drives including a Back-To-School Fair, Community Turkey Giveaway, a Warm Coat Giveaway, a Community Baby Shower to provide new mothers with essential items to welcome their new babies, and a Mobile Dental Van which provided over 1,000 children with essential dental care services. Within this past year, the hospital also saw over 1,295 OB Labor and Delivery + Nursery visits, 36,627 COVID-19 Lab Services Outpatient Visits, along with 30,337 Inpatient Visits and over 298,777 Outpatient Visits.
