The City of Chicago and the State of Illinois have placed restrictions on many events and businesses to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We strongly recommend confirming the status of attractions and upcoming events by reaching out directly to the attraction, venue, or ticket provider before proceeding.

There are a few tell-tale signs that it’s almost spring in Chicago: walkers and runners return to the Lakefront Trail, flower and garden shows pop up across the city, the Cubs and the White Sox play their home openers. And, of course, the City Winery domes return to the Chicago Riverwalk.

City Winery will be bringing back their mega-popular heated River Domes for the season on Monday, March 16 and reservations are now available. The River Domes will be set up on the waterfront just outside City Winery’s Riverwalk location on the south bank of the Chicago River between Dearborn and State Streets.

River Domes can be reserved for up to 2.5 hours for a maximum of eight people. Each River Dome comes equipped with Bluetooth speakers, games, plenty of cozy seating and decor, and sweeping views of the Chicago River and surrounding skyline. The River Domes will be open for the season from March 16 through May 7.

While dining in the River Domes, guests can enjoy brunch, lunch, or dinner from City Winery’s seasonal menu. Choose from meat and cheese boards, salads, sandwiches, gnocchi, and more spring-focused dishes that come ready to pair with wines from around the world. Don’t miss the signature City Winery wines on tap, plus local seasonal beer and craft cocktails. (Keep in mind there’s a $75 food and beverage minimum per person, before tax and gratuity).

The River Domes let you take in the stunning waterfront views, regardless of the weather. They can remain open to let in the fresh spring air, or closed completely and warmed up with the included heater.

If you don’t snag a reservation for a River Dome, City Winery’s Riverwalk patio will be open for business starting March 14 at 9 a.m. Enjoy their full food and beverage menu, while taking in the views and buzz of the Riverwalk. Or check out their main location in the West Loop, which features a full-service restaurant and intimate concert venue.

City Winery at the Riverwalk is located at 11 W. Riverwalk South and they are open Monday through Thursday, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The River Domes will be open for the season from March 16 through May 7. For more information, visit www.citywinery.com.
