Chicago’s Premier Filipino Folk Fusion band, SamaSama Project presents the Great Filipino Songbook, a bedazzling performance of the most memorable Filipino songs shaped by American pop culture from the past century. A collection of songs and stories rooted in the Philippines’ intertwined history with the USA, it celebrates the Golden Age of American Song, a time when the greatest Filipino composers crafted their treasured melodies. TGFS at Revere Park is also the band’s debut album release concert!
Indulge in a free community festival featuring Chicagoland’s finest Filipinx-owned culinary delights, artisanal crafts, and a talented lineup of artists including Sonya Oyola, The Swingin’ Sisters, Fia Torres, Harana Band and Lane Tech Kapamilya dancers, etc. Come early for a taste of Filipino culture and stay for an unforgettable evening of music and storytelling!
