Music beyond cultural divides: Celebrating 30 years of sister city friendship: Chicago & Hamburg
The Hamburg Committee of the Chicago Sister Cities International (CSCI) is proud to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our sister city relationship with Hamburg in 2024.
To commemorate this milestone, the committee is thrilled to announce the following musical exchanges featuring world-renowned performers from Hamburg.
The esteemed NDR Bigband will grace Chicago with two captivating performances:
- May 13th at Museum of Contemporary Art, ft. clarinetist Kinan Azmeh | information here
- May 14th at Andy’s Jazz Club, jam session with Chicago Jazz artists | information here
Furthermore, from May 29th to May 31st, three exceptionally talented youth pianists, winners of Germany’s premier youth competition in 2023, will enchant audiences with three free performances sponsored by the Hamburg Committee | information here
