“Farideh Shahsavarani: Longing for a Green World” — Artist’s Reception in Chicago
Join us for an inspiring evening celebrating the work of Iranian visual artist Farideh Shahsavarani at the “Longing for a Green World” Artist’s Reception on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM CDT at Maman Zari, located at 4639 N. Kedzie Ave, Chicago.
Shahsavarani, known for her multimedia practice spanning painting, video art, installations, and photographic work, brings to light themes of renewal through her abstract imagery. This reception and one-day showing offers a first look at her new body of work and a chance for attendees to engage directly with the artist in conversation. All works will be available for purchase.
There will be light bites provided by Maman Zari and cocktails featuring SAG – the forbidden spirit.
About Farideh Shahsavarani
Born in Iran in 1955, Shahsavarani holds an MFA in Painting and has a distinguished career that includes over 16 solo exhibitions and more than 200 group exhibitions globally. Her work traverses traditional and contemporary modes to explore memory, identity, and humanity’s connection to the environment.
