Classical Creatures at the Kehrein
Music of the Baroque returns to the Kehrein Center for the Arts in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood for Classical Creatures at the Kehrein.
The animal kingdom comes alive through charming works for orchestra under the direction of Principal Guest Conductor Nicholas Kraemer. Dogs bark in Vivaldi’s “Spring” from the famous collection of four pieces entitled The Four Seasons. Crickets chirp in Telemann’s unusual Cricket Symphony, while frogs ribbit in his virtuosic work for solo violin and orchestra called “The Frogs.” Nicholas Kraemer leads the Music of the Baroque Orchestra and WFMT Music Director Oliver Camacho is the host in this casual, fun evening.
Attendees will receive a treat from the Austin-based small business Bitoy’s Sweet Treats following the performance.
