9th Ward Christmas Crawl
The 9th Ward Christmas Crawl is a unique, community-focused event designed to showcase the cultural and historical heritage of the 9th Ward through a festive, holiday-themed experience, including ornament creation and a tree lighting ceremony at Pullman National Historical Park.
The trolley and bus loading zone will take place near the Pullman Porter Museum at 10406 S. Maryland Ave., Chicago IL 60628 at noon. This event will feature stops at significant historical sites, including Pullman National Historic Park, Passion of Pullman Garden, and other culturally relevant locations. Each stop will offer holiday-themed storytelling, music, and decorations, creating a warm, festive atmosphere. The Underground Railroad – Journey to Freedom story will be shared at Pullman National Monument, and the ‘The 77: A City of Neighborhoods’ Roseland/Pullman docuseries episode will be presented at Passion of Pullman, located at 618 East 107th Street. Additionally, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources will commemorate the Chicago Firefighters’ response to the massive December 1998 arson fire.
