The various victorian style homes adoring Hoyne Ave. were built between 1868 and 1905 by prominent business leaders from across Chicago. Hoyne Ave. helps make up the Wicker Park Historic District and is worth the walk. Hoyne Ave. was called Beer Baron Row since many wealthy German brewers built these large scale mansions many of which have been restored to their glory.
