Join the Opening Reception for a community conversation: Ask a Punk, But Like Literally!

Saturday, October 12th

Doors Open: 11:00 AM

Conversation: 1:00-2:00 PM

Have you organized punk shows? Do you like attending them? What’s been difficult in your experience, and are the challenges still the same?

Join us for a community conversation exploring the ever-evolving punk scene, where the voices of seasoned punks and eager newcomers collide. We’ll delve into growing up in neighborhoods like Little Village versus Humboldt Park or the suburbs, and encourage younger punks to ask their burning questions of the older generation. Explore the richness of DIY culture, exchange ideas, and spark connections with others who share a passion for music!

Special guests include Soli Herrera (Founder + Creative Director for Ruidosa Art Collective), Benny Hernandez, and Brian Herrera (Artist and 2024 Community Storyteller for Ask A Punkfilm).
