Chicago’s Late Night Talk Show
“The Not That Late Show” is a POC and Queer-led late night style talk show with an ensemble cast of Chicago comedians who create new material every month based on what’s happening in the news. Hosted by Justin Swinson in a suit, the show also features performances from emerging local musical acts and live interviews with some of Chicago’s most notable contributors. Past guests have included State Senator Mike Simmons (cool!), Stephanie Skora of the Girl, I Guess Voter Guide (wow!), Medea Benjamin of the feminist grassroots organization CODEPINK (WOW!), and even Mayor Brandon Johnson (welp). All of these hee hee’s and ha ha’s unfold at The Lincoln Lodge, which is the only non-profit comedy venue in Chicago.
This month (10/16 at 8pm), we’ll be joined by Queer hospitality innovator and award-winning bartender, David Morr, owner of Truce Coffee and recognized as one of Chicago’s 13 rising stars by Chicago Magazine in 2023. We’ll also have music by Chicago indie rock band, CalicoLoco (cutest band in Chicago).
