Annikah Idovia Godard is a young artist based in Chicago, IL and Portland, OR. Practicing art for over 13 years, she now attends the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), where she will receive her Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Critical Studies in 2026. Idovia pays tribute to her complex heritage as she speculates what damaging societal constructs impact her positionality as a Caribbean and German American woman in the 21st century. Annikah combines topics of human nature, integrating her Haitian and Black American cultures to depict liberation, power, and resilience.
