First Bites Bash is the official kick-off event for the 12th annual Chicago Restaurant Week, organized by Choose Chicago. Join us inside the Field Museum for savory and sweet food tastings from more than 70 of Chicago's most celebrated chefs and restaurants. Toast to the city's culinary scene with our beer, wine, and spirit sponsors. 

Joe Flamm, Executive Chef of Chicago’s Michelin-starred Spiaggia and Café Spiaggia and winner of Bravo's Top Chef Season 15, will serve as Host Chef of this year's event.

He’ll be joined by Host Mixologist Jarmel Doss, assistant bar director of The Aviary and winner of the first Chicago STARS Mixology competition.

This year’s event will benefit Pilot Light, a local non-profit that helps kids make healthier choices through food education.

Join Stella Artois at TAO for a First Bites Bash After-Party!

Keep the party going at TAO with exclusive entertainment and specials provided by Stella Artois.  Your First Bites Bash wristband will grant you expedited entry to TAO, an hour and half reception featuring complimentary Stella Artois, and free shuttle service from the Field Museum.

Vendors subject to change. Tickets include samples. Enjoy responsibly. We reserve the right to curtail service to anyone if intoxicated. It is recommended to print a paper ticket to prevent any technology complications which would prevent your ticket from displaying on your phone. There is no guest list. Each ticket must be scanned. Security reserved the right to inspect all bags and persons. Absolutely no food or beverage may be brought into the event. Guests who are deemed intoxicated (or otherwise unfit), will be denied entry and no refunds will be given.

Parking will be available for $25 per car in the lot just east of The Field Museum. Access this lot from Museum Campus Drive. After looping around in front of the Shedd Aquarium, you will circle back and turn right into the lot.

Joe Flamm is Executive Chef of Chicago’s Michelin-starred Spiaggia and Café Spiaggia. In 2018, Flamm was the winner of Bravo's Top Chef Season 15.

Jarmel Doss is the Assistant Bar Director at The Aviary. In 2018, she was named the winner of the inaugural Chicago STARS Mixology Competition by the National Restaurant Association.
