First Bites Bash is the official kick-off event for Chicago Restaurant Week, produced by Choose Chicago. Join us inside the magnificent Great Hall at Chicago Union Station, where you will enjoy savory and sweet tastings from over 50 of Chicago's most celebrated chefs and restaurants. Restaurateur & master sommelier, Alpana Singh will host this year's event, from which a portion of the proceeds will benefit Inspiration Corporation.

Sample and sip your way through a night of delicious tastings. All chefs and restaurants are Chicago Restaurant Week participants and will be previewing a select dish from their special prix-fixe menu. An array of beer, wine and cocktail pairings from Goose Island Beer Co, Terlato Wines International and several spirits partners round out the offerings.

FIRST BITES BASH DETAILS

  • Tickets on sale online at firstbitesbash2015tix.eventbrite.com.

  • All ticket sales are final. 

  • Must be 21 years or older with valid photo identification to be admitted to First Bites Bash.

  • Doors at Union Station will open at 5:30 pm – PLEASE NOTE that guests must use the Jackson Street entrance.

  • Bring a printed ticket or have your mobile ticket ready to scan at the door.

  • Parking: Entrance to the self-park parking garage is located on S. Canal St. between Van Buren & Jackson on the west side of the street. For a map and driving directions, click here.

  • Business or cocktail party attire is suggested.

  • Complimentary coat check is located upon entering Jackson St. entrance, with a second location at the bottom of the stairs after check-in.

  • All food and beverage items will be tasting portions.

After First Bites Bash, the culinary celebration continues! The 8th Annual Chicago Restaurant Week gets underway the very next night and runs from January 30 to February 12, 2015. Alpana Singh

Host, First Bites Bash 2015
Restaurateur and master sommelier Alpana Singh served as the host of the Emmy Award-winning television show, Check, Please!   for ten seasons on Chicago’s PBS station. During this time, Singh was nominated for a James Beard Foundation Award, and became the director of wine and spirits for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. After more than a decade with the company, Singh opened The Boarding House, a wine-driven concept in the River North neighborhood in December 2012, and will open her newest restaurant Seven Lions in early 2015.
