First Bites Bash is the official kick-off event for the 9th annual Chicago Restaurant Week, produced by Choose Chicago. Join us inside the magnificent Great Hall at Chicago Union Station for savory and sweet food tastings from over 60 of Chicago's most celebrated chefs and restaurants. Toast to the city's culinary scene with beer, wine, and cocktail pairings from Goose Island Beer Company, Terlato Wines International, and several leading spirit partners.

Executive Chef Tony Priolo (Piccolo Sogno and Piccolo Sogno Due) will host this year's event, from which a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.

Browse the list of restaurants below to see who will be at First Bites Bash 2016 and view photos from the 2015 event for a taste of what's to come.

Chef Tony Priolo

Host, First Bites Bash 2016
Tony Priolo grew up as a young boy cooking with his Sicilian grandmother in her Chicago kitchen, where he was taught the best food comes from a profound place of love and passion. He opened his first restaurant Piccolo Sogno (which means “little dream” in Italian) in 2008, providing seasonally-inspired, regional Italian fare to Chicago. The success led him to open Piccolo Sogno Due in 2012, bringing coastal Italian cuisine to River North. Chef Priolo is honored to be a part of the local Chicago chef community and is proud of the national and international exposure that the city continues to garner.
More On Our Host Chef
The charity beneficiary for this year's bash, the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Chicago Cubs First Baseman Anthony Rizzo. Anthony realized during his own battle with cancer that no matter how difficult fighting cancer was for him, it was even more difficult for his family. Anthony believes that an individual does not battle cancer alone, but that the whole family battles it together. The mission of the foundation is to raise money for cancer research and to provide support to children and their families battling the disease.
