Phase two of the Chicago Riverwalk opened, featuring a seasonal lineup of summer dining, outdoor recreational activities, educational experiences and live entertainment. Located along the Chicago River, the Riverwalk will be one continuous walkway, linking the lakefront to the heart of downtown Chicago.

As part of the ongoing redevelopment of Navy Pier, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Navy Pier announced the acquisition of a new 196-foot Ferris Wheel to debut in 2016. The Ferris Wheel is just one component of the new infrastructure and design improvements. Navy Pier also will incorporate new restaurants in its food court, such as Giordano's, Big Bowl, Frankie's Pizza by the Slice, Big City Chicken and more.
