After four years since its last performance in Chicago, Montreal-based performance company Cirque du Soleil recently announced dates for the upcoming production KURIOS, slated to run in Chicago Aug. 6 – 30, 2015. As the Midwest’s only stop, this big-top tent show filled with a wondrous world of imaginative curiosities and spectacular human feats is sure to generate interest from Cirque du Soleil acolytes and theater enthusiasts alike. A VIP lounge with reserved seating and backstage access will be available for group tickets.

Beginning July 2015, Great Lakes Cruise Co. will begin offering cruise itineraries between Montreal and Chicago on the all-new M.S. St. Laurent, a four-star coastal vessel with 105 staterooms. The company has four ships, offering additional cruise routes between Chicago and Toronto, Chicago and Milwaukee and Chicago and Warren, Rhode Island.

Hilton Worldwide announced the latest addition to its luxurious CURIO – A Collection by Hilton with the arrival of LondonHouse, which will be located in the historic London Guarantee Building on North Michigan Avenue with a new 22-story contemporary addition. Slated to open Spring 2016, this 452-room luxury hotel will feature two floors of upscale retail.

High-end retailers are flocking to Chicago, with the highly anticipated opening of Versace, La Perla, Rebecca Minkoff and Christian Dior – the brand’s first Chicago boutique – in the Gold Coast neighborhood. Meanwhile, on The Magnificent Mile, Under Armour opened a 30,000-square-foot store, the largest storefront the company has ever opened.
This month, Frontier Airlines will add four new nonstop service routes between Chicago (ORD) and Austin, Texas (AUS), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX) and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU).
