From exciting new hotel openings to the debut of world-class events, 2015 promises to be a big, bold year for Chicago. For the first time in its history, the James Beard Foundation Awards Ceremony and Gala will leave New York City and set up shop in Chicago. The NFL Draft, which for the last nine years has been conducted in New York's Radio City Music Hall, will move to Chicago and be held at Roosevelt University's Auditorium Theatre. The Auditorium Theatre will close its 125th Anniversary Season by bringing The Royal Ballet back to Chicago after a 37-year absence. These events, as well as park and green space openings, new museum exhibits, restaurant unveilings and much more, will showcase many of Chicago’s unparalleled offerings as a city of arts, culture and entertainment.
Chicago Restaurant Week, produced by Choose Chicago, returns on Friday, January 30 marking the 8th annual culinary celebration. The 14-day promotion continues through Thursday, February 12 and is packed with delicious prix fixe menus starting at $22 for lunch and $33 and/or $44 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity). Dynamic offerings from more than 250 restaurants throughout the Chicago area, including 33 new participating restaurants are now available online at eatitupchicago.com.
Maggie Daley Park will contribute unique new types of open space and activities to the programmatic range of Grant Park as a whole. The 20 acre park boasts signature elements like rock-climbing sculptures, an ice-skating ribbon and a three-acre play garden.

Kimpton is the world's largest independent boutique hotel operator and a sophisticated food and beverage operator. IHG becomes the clear market leader in the boutique segment, the fastest growing segment in the industry.
UNITED TO START CHICAGO-DUBLIN SERVICE
United Airlines will operate seasonal nonstop service between Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Dublin Airport starting summer 2015. O'Hare becomes the third United hub with nonstop service to Dublin, Ireland, after New York/Newark and Washington Dulles. Previously, United launched seasonal service to Shannon, Ireland from June 6 to August 26, 2013.
