360 N. MICHIGAN BUILDING TO BE BOUTIQUE HOTEL
Oxford Capital Group LLC acquired the office building at Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive, with plans to convert it to a boutique hotel above two stories of retail. The building at 360 N. Michigan Ave. was originally built in 1923, and serves as one of the four flanks of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. Oxford said it was fortunate to acquire such a prominant landmark, and is excited to be part of the transformation taking place on that stretch of Michigan Avenue.
MURAL INSTALLED IN CHICAGO'S LOOP
A large, colorful, 500-square-foot mural of a parade (depicting an unusual scene with sea creatures as parade floats) was unveiled at the historic Century Building (202 S. State Street) on July 16, 2013 in Chicago's Loop.
The mural is called Float, and is by artist Noah MacMillan.
It took several nights to install and it's the largest printed artwork in
downtown Chicago. It's part of the effort of the Chicago Loop Alliance to use
art, design and technology in public space.
