This is a highly social, active adventure that’s perfect to take with family and friends – and you’re sure to make new friends while you’re at it. You also have the option of reserving the entire boat for a special occasion. The Cycleboat seats 14-16 (10 can pedal at once) and rides are 90 minutes long.

Chicago Electric Boat Company

The Chicago Electric Boat Company offers hourly electric boat rentals on the Chicago River for up to 12 people. When it comes to manning a boat, nothing could be easier. Not only are you seeing the city from a fabulous point of view, but you’re being kind to the environment as well. Hourly rates start at $150. Walk-ins and reservations are welcome.

What to know everything about Chicago's rich architectural history? Then hop aboard the Official Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) River Cruise aboard Chicago's First Lady Cruises, named a “Top 10 Tour in the U.S.” by TripAdvisor reviewers. Expert CAF-certified volunteer docents provide insights into over 53 significant buildings and bridges from the comfort of open-air upper decks or interior climate-controlled salons. Each boat offers a fully stocked bar. Cruises are scheduled from April through November. Tickets are available at the dockside box office or in advance online. Private evening charters also are available for groups of 2-250.

The Chicago Water Taxi operates on a closed loop route connecting you with seven dock locations. It’s a quick and cost-effective way to get to your destination, while taking in the sights and architecture that Chicago is famous for. - Riverwalk-Clark-Street

Tours include the daytime Urban Adventure Cruise and specialty summer cruises such as the evening Chicago By Night Cruise and Wednesday/Saturday evening 3D Fireworks Cruises. There’s even a Canine Cruise, Chicago’s only cruise for dogs! Cruises are scheduled daily from May through October.
