A cocktail and a tune? Well isn't that grand! Chicago piano bars are just one of the nightlife offerings to fill the city's entertainment landscape.

Located just north of the Chicago River, and right off State Street, a trio of gems will have you singing all night long. Located in the buzzy River North district, there's DJ-driven dance clubs, a live music country bars, blues clubs and these neighboring nightspots:

Howl at the Moon is the home of dueling pianos. Jam to Guns ‘n' Roses and AC/DC covers or one of the many other crowd favorites. If one piano player doesn't know your requested song, the other undoubtedly will.

A few blocks north, the winking eye of the Redhead Piano Bar neon sign welcomes you. Here the bow-tied bartenders shake and stir, while couples chatter until they break out in song. The walls are covered with sheet music and memorabilia that will put you in the sing-a-long spirit. But it's the double shift of players, with an early show running until 11 p.m. and a second show ending at 4 a.m., that will keep you entranced.

Around the corner, you could "pop" into Pops for Champagne, which offers live music from a trio, Sunday through Tuesday nights. Jazz and bubbly are a perfect pairing! And with nearly champagne 250 selections, you can't go wrong.

Further north in the Gold Coast neighborhood of downtown, step into the Zebra Lounge on North State Street for an intimate sip of life, surrounded by its intriguing namesake interior. With a name like Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House, this may not be an immediate pick. But the Gold Coast spot adjoining its famous sister steakhouse Gibson's is all about energy and a lively scene, so the nightly live piano music brings out the fun side of everyone — the top-notch martinis help with that too!

Just a short cab ride from downtown in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood is Davenport's where singing wait staff sing-along with popular Chicago performers. This lively piano bar offers informal musical entertainment, featuring sing-a-longs and audience requests. Davenport's also features extraordinary cabaret acts. A two-drink minimum is all that's required to enjoy the performance.

Another neighborhood option, Uptown Underground boasts a little more variety than just the traditional piano sing-a-long. Think live musical cabaret, but also burlesque, magic and even circus acrobatics.

See how your evening plays out in Chicago. You're sure to find a tune that suits you.
