Designed as a massive "throne" facing the Chicago River, the handsome Civic Opera House blends Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles beautifully, making for a majestic home for the company. One of the city's historic landmarks and among the world's most beautiful buildings, it is also the second-largest opera house in the country.

Long live passion! Lyric Opera of Chicago's spectacular 61st season opens September 26, 2015 and concludes May 22, 2016, offering nine new-to-Chicago productions during its performance calendar.   • THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ** New Production
