McCormick Place

At McCormick Place, your meeting attendees will always stay connected. With 900 of the latest Cisco access points, licensed for 64,000 concurrent users, as well as 100 additional access points for augmentation or rapid deployment, information sharing is swift.

Internet delivery at McCormick Place is geographically redundant, using five different ISPs that travel along one of two geographically separate routes in active configuration. Every building in McCormick Place’s facilities is connected via both single mode and multi-mode fibers.

Further developments to make McCormick Place an even faster and more tech-forward convention center are in the works for 2018.

WiFi

Complimentary WiFi is available on exhibit floors during move in and move out as well as in the public/function spaces and meeting rooms at all times. During actual show days, it is available in permanent hotspot and pod areas, determined by the Show Manager.

Marty by McCormick Square

MARTY by McCormick Square is the official smart phone app for McCormick Square, the McCormick Place Convention Center campus and the surrounding neighborhoods.

MARTY contains information for nearly 250 establishments on campus and in the surrounding neighborhoods. The content is “living” so it can be easily updated at any time with new offering, photos, etc. The app is broken down into five categories, including:

  • Attractions
  • Mind & Body
  • Food & Drink
  • Services
  • Events

In addition to serving as a database of on and off campus establishments, MARTY features:

  • GPS guided directions
  • Estimated travel time
  • Price ranges for establishments
  • Information on each establishment
  • Links to more information on McCormick Square

MARTY can be used by MPEA employees, locals and visitors, and aims to be a useful guide to the McCormick Square campus and its surrounding neighborhoods.
