LONG LAYOVER? O’HARE AIRPORT TO GET NEW $30/HOUR HOTEL SUITES
Air travelers will have an easy option for rest between flights at Chicago O’Hare Airport with a city council-approved plan for 29 “extended-stay suites” in the second-floor space in the rotunda between Terminals 2 and 3. Minute Suites plans to offer suites for $30 an hour or $120 overnight for travelers.
NEW LOEWS HOTEL COMING TO CHICAGO IN 2015
Loews Hotels & Resorts announced that the company will open a new property in Chicago slated for January 2015.
The new Loews Chicago Hotel will feature 400 guestrooms, 36 suites, on-site restaurant, 25,000 square feet of meeting space with multiple outdoor terraces for guest and function uses, spa/fitness center and an outdoor rooftop with a pool overlooking the city.
PUBLIC TRANSIT’S ALTERNATIVE ROUTES DURING SPRING RENOVATIONS
During the ongoing reconstruction of the Wells Street Bridge over the Chicago River, Chicago Transit Authority will temporarily cease train service on the bridge for two nine-day periods in early March and late April.
