CHICAGO (December 11, 2015) - Chi-Town Rising, Chicago's newly-announced New Year's Eve celebration, announces the complete event schedule of how to participate in the festivities. Corona Extra is the Presenting Sponsor of Chi-Town Rising and Hyatt Gold Passport is the Official Host Sponsor.
Chi-Town Rising will be broadcast live on NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago for those wishing to view the event for free. Those interested in attending the event live have multiple options for securing a guaranteed spot, including purchasing tickets to the outdoor audience area, the Corona Beach House party, or other partner events nearby. Official Hotel Partners have packages available that include admission to the event as well. Chi-Town Rising is a privately-produced, ticketed event and no public areas for viewing the Countdown Stage and Rising Star have been formally designated.
At 70 feet tip-to-tip and rising 360 feet in Chicago sky, the Rising Star is truly the star of the show. Located on the west tower of Hyatt Regency Chicago, the Star will overlook the TV audience zone on Broadcast Boulevard and Corona Beach House across the Chicago River.
Family Countdown Celebration on the Chicago Cultural Mile, 3 - 6 p.m. (Wrigley Square, Millennium Park)
Chi-Town Rising's Family Countdown Celebration, presented by The Chicago Cultural Mile Association, offers families a fantastic alternative to the late-night festivities around Chi-Town Central.
Held at Wrigley Square in Millennium Park there will be family-friendly fun activities, musical entertainment, cultural exhibits, and treats for the kids, creating an ideal opportunity to enjoy all the excitement of New Year's Eve in a family-friendly environment. The celebration will culminate in a very special "Kids Countdown Spectacular" just before 6:00 p.m. The Family Countdown Celebration is complimentary for all families wishing to participate in Chi-Town Rising.
Broadcast Boulevard, 7 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. (Upper Wacker Drive between Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive; entrance on Michigan Avenue at Upper Wacker Drive)
Be a part of the TV Audience Zone on Broadcast Boulevard and enjoy the ultimate Chi-Town Rising experience. The exclusive TV Audience Zone provides direct access to the Countdown Stage where the music acts will be performing beginning at 7 p.m. Additionally, attendees of Broadcast Boulevard will be front and center for the Rising Star - a 70' beacon ascending into the night sky to welcome the New Year, kicking off an unprecedented fireworks display. Attendees of Broadcast Boulevard will be featured on the live television broadcast with NBC 5, Telemundo Chicago, and in more than 45 cities across the country on NBC affiliates and nationally on Telexitos. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.; event schedule is subject to adjustment. Guest on Broadcast Blvd will have access to merchandise and concessions tents, and those 21+ will be able to purchase wine & beer as well as Prosecco for a midnight toast.
Corona Beach House, 7 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. (North side of the Chicago River, at Lower North Water Street & Columbus Drive)
Corona Extra - the #1 imported beer in the U.S.- is bringing the beach to Chicago this winter for the city's inaugural New Year's Eve celebration, Chi-Town Rising. As the event's presenting sponsor, Corona Extra will create a one-of-a-kind Beach House along the Chicago River where party-goers can warm up, kick back, and ring in the New Year with Chi-Town Rising and an experience only Corona can offer.
Complete with palm trees, heated indoor and outdoor spaces, and incredible views of Chi-Town Rising's Countdown Stage concerts featuring entertainment beginning at 7 p.m., and an unprecedented fireworks show, the Corona Beach House will be the place to be when the clock strikes midnight.

Resolution Gala, 8:15 p.m. - 2 a.m. (Navy Pier, Grand Ballroom)
Located at Navy Pier, Resolution Gala offers a unique perspective of all evening activities. Chi-Town Rising participants interested in experiencing the evening's events in style are invited to purchase their tickets for Resolution Gala, taking place in Navy Pier's Grand Ballroom, featuring live music, a lavish buffet, and drinks from 30 bars. As the clock strikes midnight, Navy Pier offers a clear view of the synchronized fireworks erupting across the Chi-Town Rising footprint, and showcasing the skyline, river, and lakefront as never before. Chi-Town Rising Live Television Broadcast, 11:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. (NBC 5, Telemundo Chicago)
NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago will introduce Chicago and the world to a brand new tradition for celebrating New Year's Eve. The 90-minute live broadcast will feature celebrity guests, A-list musical performances, a look back at 2015, a very special New Year's toast, a dazzling countdown featuring our iconic Chicago Star rising 360 feet into the night sky, and an unprecedented fireworks display. Musical artists include American Authors and Chicago®. NBC 5 will begin the live broadcast at 11:08 p.m. and Telemundo Chicago will begin the live broadcast at 11:00 p.m.

The live music showcase kicks-off at 7 p.m. on the Countdown Stage and features a selection of Chi-Town's hottest local artists.
