Niu Japanese Fusion Lounge

Opened in August 2007, this spacious pan-Asian eatery in the River East right next door to the AMC Theatres combines original design with a rare sense of humor and adventure. Niu’s fluid, sexy, casually luxurious dining room can accommodate up to 225 guests, so large parties are definitely welcome. An added attraction is the sleek lounge area complete with a spectacular “must-see” chandelierhich.
One of the reasons that people keep coming back to Niu is of course of the eclectic food and drink selections. Our inventive menu blends Sushi, Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Chinese influences: little bites of modern Tokyo, Bangkok, and Shanghai, all blended in with the energy of Chicago. The menu offers a variety of sushi basics, but the real enticements are the one-of-a-kind “fusion makis” with such names as “Sexy Mexican,” “White Angel,” and “Diablo”. For those sushiphobes, there is a fantastic selection of vegetarian, stir-fry and soup creations.
