Motor Row Brewing, takes its name from the historic Motor/Record Row area of Chicago. Its located in a landmark building at 2337 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago’s near south side.
At the turn of the last century, the Motor Row neighborhood was famous as the home of more than 100 different makes of automobiles that were sold on this historic stretch of Michigan Avenue. Later, Record Row in the 1950’s and 60’s was home to Chicago’s world famous Chess Records and current home of Willie Dixon’s “Blues Heaven” Foundation and museum. Even The Rolling Stones made a pilgrimage to record up the street at 2120 S. Michigan Ave.
Currently, MRB hosts a “Blues Jam” most Thursday nights. Check out our web page www.motorrowbrewing.com for more information.
Take a visit to our neighborhood to try one of our wonderful craft beers and enjoy a part of Chicago history.
Our story begins in the midst of this rich and proud tradition.
