Located in the heart of downtown Chicago on famed Michigan Avenue, the American Writers Museum is just steps away from Millennium Park and other cultural attractions, and a number of Chicago's major hotels. The S. Leigh Pierson and Douglas R. Conant Readers Hall is the perfect venue for any type of meeting, social event or group celebration. The event space offers flexible seating and viewing configurations for films, talks, readings, and other events and programs. Readers Hall also offers interpretive exhibits celebrating the role of the reader and writer in American literature. Bookcases feature a selection of popular works, wall displays highlight the social, cultural and technological developments that influenced written works, and touch-screen kiosks let readers share their favorite authors and create custom bookmarks.
