  • The American Writers Museum is the first museum of its kind in the United States. The mission of the American Writers Museum is to engage the public in celebrating American writers and exploring their influence on our history, our identity, and our daily lives. Through innovative and dynamic state-of- the-art exhibitions, as well as compelling programming, the American Writers Museum educates, enriches, provokes, and inspires visitors of all ages. Hours: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Daily; 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday. Closed Mondays. Admission: $12 – Adults, $8 – Seniors (65+), $8 – Students (w/ valid ID), Children (ages 12 & younger) Free.
