Broadway In Chicago brings some of the world’s biggest plays to the stage at various historic Loop theaters. At the CIBC Theatre, you can catch the smash hip-hop musical Hamilton through July 21, 2019. Here's a look at some of the biggest Broadway in Chicago shows to grace local stages this year:

The Goodman Theatre in the Loop is known for its culturally introspective plays. Tickets are on sale now for Sweat, an acclaimed Broadway hit and 2017 Pulitzer Prize winner. The show, which runs from March 9 – April 14, is a heart-wrenching story that takes an unflinching look at the intersection of race, class and friendship at a pivotal time in American history.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company

Founded by actor Gary Sinise, Steppenwolf features a star-studded ensemble that includes John Malkovich, Joan Allen and William Petersen. The Lincoln Park theatre draws a multi-generational audience with innovative plays, readings and events. Their current season features exciting works like Ms. Blakk for President with Tarell Alvin McCraney and a reimagining of the legendary True West.

Lookingglass Theatre Company on the Magnificent Mile pushes the boundaries of theater, incorporating dance and circus arts into its performances. This year's must-sees include dark comedy Act(s) of God and monstrous classic Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
