Yom HaShoah Community-Wide Comemmoration
  • Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, established by the Israeli Knesset in 1959, commemorates the victims of the Holocaust. This afternoon’s program will include remarks by Chicago-area civic, religious, and political leaders, music by violinist David Lisker, and candle lighting by eyewitnesses and descendants.

    Free to the public. Reservations required.

    Community Partners: Sheérit HaPleitah of Metropolitan Chicago, Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago, Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest, Association of Descendants of the Shoah-Illinois.
