Year of 23: Michael Jordan’s Chicago with Dilla the Urban Historian

Please join us at Harold Washington Library Center for a very special event.

The year is 2023. In Chicago, 23 is a very special number and refers to His Royal Airness, Michael Jordan and the legacy of the double three-peat the team brought to Chicago in the 90s. The impact Michael Jordan and the 90s Chicago Bulls still resonates in our city today.

Dilla the Urban Historian will be lecturing on the legacy of Jordan’s Chicago and all things 23 in the greatest city in the world. From Chicago in 1923, to 1993, to 2023, the city of broad shoulders continues to thrive and grow and this lecture celebrates how far our city has come.

How to Attend – In Person
The Auditorium doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a capacity 350.

Masks are strongly encouraged in all CPL locations. Questions about visiting the library? Check out our Using the Library FAQ.
