West Suburban Symphony & Chorus: American Voices

The West Suburban Symphony and Chorus will celebrate the musical voices of Amy Beach, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Jennifer Higdon, and Charles Ives.  The Kyrie movement from Beach’s Grand Mass in E-flat sets a new standard for American choral works.  Bernestein’s Chichester Psalms includes a theatrical flair, and counter-tenor Carl Alexander joins us as a soloist, along with Elizabeth Normal who will narrate inspiring passages from Copland’s stirring (Abraham) Lincoln Portrait.
