Join WBEZ, the University Club of Chicago, and The Auditorium on Wednesday, January 29 for an evening with Brooke Shields. Brooke has spent her life in the spotlight, first as a child actress and model and then as an adult celebrity. From her perch within pop culture, she has a unique point of view about the lives and travails of women.
In her new memoir, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old she pulls the curtain back on unattainable and unhealthy beauty standards for women globally and challenges the societal expectations and perceptions of older women. She’ll also address keys to combatting misogyny and finding the mental and emotional strength to live life to the fullest.
