Virtual Intro to Closed Terrariums

Greenhouse Coordinator Emilia Arellano reviews the basics of self-regulating closed terrariums and guides you step by step as you assemble your own closed terrarium at home. Automated live captioning will be available.

Participants may purchase materials on their own or buy one of our Closed Terrarium Kits for an additional fee until Monday 4/12/21 (or while supplies last). Our Closed Terrarium Kits will be available for contact-free pickup by appointment only at the Garfield Park Conservatory on Thursday 4/15/21 and Friday 4/16/21.

Class fee (does not include terrarium materials):

General Admission $25

GPCA Member/Volunteer $20

Class registration closes on Saturday 4/17/21 at 9 am.

Closed Terrarium Kits are available for purchase as an Optional Add-on until Monday 4/12/21 (or while supplies last). After that date, you can register for the class without materials.

Optional Add-on Closed Terrarium Kit ($45) Includes: 1 one-gallon glass jar with a lid, three small plants + materials for the different layers.
