Join us for the opening of Logan Center’s Third Tuesday Jazz Series season presented in partnership with the Hyde Park Jazz Society featuring Ben Paterson (piano/vox), Jake Vinsel (bass), and George Fludas (drums) in an intimate performance in Café Logan.

Combining a joyful swing feel with an impeccable touch, Steinway Artist Ben Paterson has established himself as one of the most exciting pianists on the Jazz scene today, garnering international acclaim for his superb musicianship and engaging performances. Originally from Philadelphia, Ben studied both classical and jazz music before moving to the great city of Chicago, absorbing the unique blend of Jazz and Blues that can only be found in the Windy City.

In 2018 Ben was named as the First Place Winner of the Ellis Marsalis International Jazz Piano Competition. In 2022 he was the pianist on the Grammy winning record Linger Awhile from Samara Joy. Visit www.benpaterson.com for more information.

The Hyde Park Jazz Society selects local jazz musicians and those with a Chicago connection to perform on the third Tuesday of every month at Café Logan. The Café will offer its full menu for purchase, including wine, beer, and a coffee bar. Third Tuesday Jazz is presented by the Logan Center, Hyde Park Jazz Society, and 90.9FM WDCB Jazz Radio.
