The Outer Loop’s Haven at Raven!

From The Outer Loop Theater Experience, comes the workshop production of Haven, an immersive, timely and important new play (still in development) by Jessica Sater. Come on in and take a seat in Shawna’s scrappy neighborhood hair salon, located on a rapidly gentrifying street and hanging on by a thread… amidst the fall of Roe v. Wade.

Haven is the first play from The Outer Loop’s new Inner Enso initiative. The Inner Ensois an all-female circle of artistic decision-making with the mission of shifting the arts community toward balance. Too often, the woman’s perspective is left out of the story, so we wanted to create a space solely made up of women to remedy that. The circle consists of 5 women who meet regularly throughout the year to create one production per season for the Inner Enso Series, which tells stories that center the experience of being a woman.
