“The Leap of Love: The Burt Bacharach Songbook”


Acclaimed singer Megon McDonough, jazz pianist Fred Simon, and bassist Jon Paul take audiences on a nostalgic journey through Bacharach’s timeless hits in this show. The show features some of Bacharach’s most famous songs, including “The Look of Love,” “I Say A Little Prayer,” “Walk On By,” “Close To You,” “Raindrops Keep Fallin’,” “What The World Needs Now,” “Alfie,” and “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again.” In the second half of the show, McDonough will be performing some of her own signature songs, including “Amazing Things,” as well as several covers such as “Spirits In The Material World” by The Police and “1,000 Beautiful Things” by Annie Lennox. The trio will also perform several of Simon’s original compositions. 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 29 at Carnivale, 702 W. Fulton Market, Chicago. $50 cover charge.
