SamaSama Project, a dynamic Chicago-based Folk Fusion band, is back on their third month at the iconic Davenport’s on Sunday, October 22 with friends from Everybody’s Market in celebration of Filipino American History Month!
Celebrating History in Music
Presenting the hit show at Davenport’s, SamaSama Project bedazzles the most memorable Filipino songs undoubtedly shaped by American music from the past century.
Rooted in the Philippines’ intertwined history with America, this show is a celebration of the Golden Age of American Song, a time when the greatest Filipino composers crafted their most treasured melodies. SamaSama Project explores the most iconic songs of the period, a harmonious blending of Spanish, American, and Filipino musical influences.
This extraordinary show brings to life cherished Filipino love songs with a fresh and modern take, merging melodies and memories woven into stories that everyone will enjoy!
