Chicago’s Longest Running Improv Comedy Show! Every week, a new special celebrity guest tells real-life stories about their personal life, career, and times when dreams (or nightmares) came true — then, a cast of Chicago’s most veteran improvisers perform an unscripted two-act show based on those same tales. Past special guests include: Tim Baltz, John Lutz, and Michael Patrick Thornton! This show was invented at iO in 1995 and has been running ever since.

2/8 Special Guest: CELESTE M. COOPER – Acclaimed actor, producer, educator, and Steppenwolf Theatre ensemble member, featured in their productions of POTUS, Miz Martha, and Duchess! Duchess! Duchess!

2/15 Special Guest: 2/15: GRETCHEN ENG – A Chicago local, Gretchen Eng produces and improvises in iO’s flagship show, The Armando Diaz Experience as well as Jaymes Gretchky (her duo with James Dugan) and the award-winning Harold team Devil’s Daughter. She has performed and taught in Chicago for 10+ years and worked with theater institutions around the world including Cambridge Footlights International Touring Company, the 16th Annual Würzburger Improtheaterfestival, Barcelona Improv Group’s BIG IF 5, and the Improvember Festival in Munich. She is on faculty at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts and the Director of Communications for classical music ensemble Fourth Coast Ensemble.
