Palermo Palermo
May 1

Tanztheater Wuppertal, the company founded in 1973 and led by the late Pina Bausch for over 30 years, makes its long-awaited Chicago debut with Palermo Palermo. The work – one of 46 created by Bausch before her death in 2009 – features Tanztheater’s multigenerational, international company of dancers, their experiences “enlarged by the choreographer’s artistic imagination, everyday reality transformed by an unfamiliar context” (The New York Times).

The box office is open Monday-Friday noon to 5:00 p.m. and on performance days.

Transportation: Red Line – LakeBrown, Green, Pink, and Orange Lines – State/Lake or Washington/Wabash, Blue Line – Washington. Multiple bus options as we are located just east of Michigan and Randolph.
