  • In honor of its third year, Sangria Festival in historic Humboldt Park is expanding from one to two days, August 18 and 19. Turns out, West Town and Logan Square simply can’t get enough of this fun-filled end of summer event dedicated to the internationally-beloved fruit cocktail and its Latin origins. Beyond locally-made, hand-crafted sangria made by the city’s top bartenders, Sangria Fest also pays homage to authentic food and arts, featuring freshly-made Paellas, authentic Flamenco performances and even a Mercado. Every ticket holder will taste their way through some of Chicago’s most innovative sangria recipes – with signature tastings available in the VIP tent. In addition to global cuisine and food stations, Sangria Fest 2018 will include a world market with local vendors and merchandise. Along with the electrifying Flamenco and Samba parade, the live main stage presents non-stop World music inspired by Pop, Latin Rock, Rumba, Jazz and Gypsy. There will also be interactive activities such as a bigger Sangria & Paint Lounge and a new Cigar Social Lounge featuring hand rolled cigar-making. Partial proceeds from the event benefit the San Lucas Church Food Pantry & Hot Meal Program.
