  • Dates: August 20, 2017
  • Sangria Festival returns August 20th to historic Humboldt Park in West Town for another summer day dedicated to the internationally-beloved fruit drink and its Spanish origins. Beyond hand-crafted sangria made by the city’s top mixologists, Sangria Fest also pays homage to Spanish food and arts, featuring freshly-made Paellas, authentic Flamenco performances and even a Mercado. Every ticket holder will receive a complimentary souvenir glass that they can use to taste their way through some of Chicago’s most innovative and delicious sangria recipes – with signature tastings available in the VIP tent. In addition to global cuisine and food stations abound, Sangria Fest 2017 will also feature a Mercado world market with local vendors and merchandise. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and chairs and relax on the sprawling Humboldt Park lawn while the entertainment ensues. Besides a rousing Flamenco and Samba parade, the live main stage will present non-stop World music inspired by Pop, Latin Rock, Rumba, Jazz and Gypsy. Interactive activities such as the Sangria & Paint Lounge will provide guests the opportunity to enjoy ice-cold sangria on a hot summer day while embracing their artistic side. Partial proceeds from the event will benefit the San Lucas Church Food Pantry & Hot Meal Program and Humboldt Park’s traveling little league.
