Return to the Everywhere, Considering the “Post-Truth” Era

Weinberg/Newton Gallery (688 N. Milwaukee), a non-commercial gallery dedicated to social justice, today announced Return to the Everywhere, a new exhibition featuring work by Gwyneth Zeleny Anderson, Jesse McLean, Sayward Schoonmaker, Sonnenzimmer and Sadie Woods. Presented in collaboration with WBEZ, Chicago’s National Public Radio Station, Return to the Everywhere considers various modalities of communication in an attempt to grasp the broader implications of our current “post-truth” era. Works on view will create space to consider the consequences of truth’s tenuity for interpersonal connection at large, and will spark discussion surrounding vital topics including fact versus fiction, truth, transparency, objectivity, bias, and belief. Free and open to the public, the exhibition will run from January 24 – April 4 and an opening reception will take place on Friday, January 24 from 5-8pm at Weinberg/Newton Gallery.
