RAILROADERS: Jack Delano’s Homefront Photography

Historic Pullman Foundation (HPF) is thrilled to host RAILROADERS: Jack Delano’s Homefront Photography exhibit now through 2023.

Organized by Chicago History Museum and Center for Railroad Art & Photography, visitors of the newly renovated Pullman Exhibit Hall can now experience a striking visual exploration of the hard work and heroism of railway workers in the yard, on the trains and in the station during World War II, accompanied by thoughtful biographies and interactive elements.

“What I love best about this exhibition is how Delano’s fantastic photography and the Center for Railroad Photography & Art’s nuanced storytelling take us inside the lives of those working the rails. We get to know these people and understand their largely unsung heroism, if only for a moment.” –Historic Pullman Foundation Executive Director Julian Jackson

Admission to the exhibit is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Monetary entry not only supports Pullman Exhibit Hall’s operations, but as the official Friends Group of Pullman National Monument – National Park Service, visiting RAILROADERS helps HPF support the Monument’s free programming.

Want to attend for free? Become an HPF Member! Members get free access to many of our programs. Or, attend a First Sunday Walking Tour! Participants can visit RAILROADERS at the Pullman Exhibit Hall for free after their guided tour through the historic Pullman neighborhood.

The RAILROADERS exhibit will run throughout the rest of the year, Tuesday through Sunday, 11am – 3pm. For more information, visit our website
